There’s a beautiful and original way to explore the area around Trento: following the course of the Adige River.
The Adige Cycle Path is suitable for everyone. It’s flat, well signposted, surrounded by greenery, and truly accessible to all.
You don’t need to be an experienced cyclist. Just choose the right stretch, set a relaxed pace, and let yourself be guided by the landscape, which धीरे changes through vineyards, small villages, and mountain views.
In this article, we suggest some of the most beautiful sections to explore starting from here.
In our opinion, this is the perfect stretch to begin with. From Trento, you cycle towards Lavis, crossing a wide valley framed by vineyards that create neat geometric patterns. The route is completely flat and very smooth, ideal for beginners, families with children, or anyone simply looking for a relaxing ride.
In spring, the scenery is especially beautiful. The greenery becomes more vibrant, the air is fresh, and traffic stays far away.
It’s one of those rides that doesn’t tire you out, perfect for spending a few carefree hours outdoors.
If you have more time, you can head south towards Rovereto. The route is a bit longer but still easy. You’ll cycle through cultivated fields, rows of vineyards, and small towns, with the mountains always in view without ever feeling overwhelming.
Reaching Rovereto is already rewarding, but the journey itself is just as enjoyable—steady, quiet, with plenty of spots to stop and relax.
Once in town, you can take a break in the historic center or at a local café before heading back at your own pace, even by train if you prefer.
An interesting alternative is to head towards the Valle dei Laghi, an area offering more varied scenery.
Here, the route changes slightly, alternating between stretches along the Adige and detours towards lakes and small villages. Lake Toblino, with its castle overlooking the water, is one of the most charming highlights.
The Valle dei Laghi is the perfect choice if you want to enrich your ride with extra views and a lakeside break.
One of the main advantages of the Adige cycle path is its accessibility. The surface is smooth, a mountain bike isn’t necessary, and elevation changes are minimal. You can ride it with a traditional or electric bike, alone, as a couple, or with your family, choosing the route that suits you best. Whether you have a few hours or a full day, you’ll find the experience that fits you.
Choose your direction, set off, and stop whenever you feel like it. Whether it’s for a coffee in a small village, a break by the river, or a spontaneous lunch, the cycle path will win you over.
And when you return to Be Place, still feeling the rhythm of the ride in your legs, you’ll realize that sometimes very little is needed to feel happy.
