\nAround Trento, it only takes a short drive away from the city center to find yourself surrounded by small villages, mountain roads, alpine pastures, and mountain huts where the connection with the land is still reflected in the landscapes, traditions, and flavors.
\nHere, the journey is also about food: locally produced cheeses, cured meats, polenta, homemade desserts, and dishes that tell the story of a simple cuisine deeply connected to the seasons.
\nFor a weekend away from the usual routines, we have selected a few special stops between Monte Bondone, Garniga Terme, and the Pin\u00e9 Plateau, all easily reachable from Trento and from Hotel Be Place.<\/p>\n

First stop: Garniga Terme, between forests and rural traditions<\/strong><\/h2>\n

To start your weekend, head towards Garniga Terme, on the mountains above Trento. The village and its small hamlets are surrounded by greenery, with forests and alpine meadows creating a peaceful landscape. It is an ideal starting point to discover the lesser-known side of Monte Bondone.
\nHere, the mountain still has a strong agricultural identity. A perfect example is Azienda Agricola Dallapiazza Orlando e Moreno, located in the hamlet of Cires, at around 830 meters above sea level. This family-run farm specializes in dairy cattle breeding and in transforming milk directly on site.
\nAmong the fresh and aged cheeses you can taste are tosella, ricotta, and butter, as well as traditional homemade cured meats. This is not just a food stop\u2014it is a chance to discover where the products we enjoy at the table actually come from.<\/p>\n

Malga Brigolina<\/strong><\/h2>\n

For a mountain break, you don\u2019t need to plan a long hike. Malga Brigolina, located on the western slopes of Monte Bondone, sits at around 1,000 meters above sea level and is one of the easiest destinations for a day trip from Trento.
\nThe mountain hut is surrounded by meadows and forests where cows graze freely and has its own small dairy: milk is processed directly on site and also used in the farmhouse kitchen.
\nThe menu immediately reflects the local territory: cheeses, polenta, stew, and strudel are among the dishes worth trying. After lunch, you can continue your day with a walk, a horseback ride, or a mountain bike excursion along the trails of Monte Bondone.
\nIt is also an excellent destination for families, thanks to its educational farm where children can learn more about animals and rural life.<\/p>\n

Second stop: Pin\u00e9 Plateau, between lakes and small villages<\/strong><\/h2>\n

For the second day, change scenery completely and head towards the Pin\u00e9 Plateau.
\nHere, forests, meadows, and lakes alternate with small villages that still preserve a character very different from the city. Enjoy a walk around Lake Serraia and combine it with a food experience in one of the mountain huts scattered across the plateau.
\nIt is a particularly interesting area because it allows you to combine nature and gastronomy in the same day\u2014here, the two often go hand in hand.<\/p>\n

Malga Stramaiolo<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Among the places worth adding to your itinerary is Malga Stramaiolo, located at 1,600 meters above sea level in the municipality of Bedollo.
\nIts location is one of its greatest strengths: the terrace offers beautiful views over the mountains of eastern Trentino, while the hut preserves the authentic atmosphere of a traditional alpine pasture.
\nIt is perfect both for hikers arriving after a mountain walk and for those simply looking for a peaceful lunch at altitude.
\nThe cuisine follows local traditions, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors together with authentic mountain flavors and local products. The surrounding area also offers several trails through forests and pastures, making Stramaiolo a place to enjoy well beyond lunchtime.<\/p>\n

Malga Pontara<\/strong><\/h2>\n

If you want to turn your weekend into a true mountain experience, Malga Pontara offers something extra.
\nLocated in the Bedollo area, it can be reached with around a one-hour walk from Passo Redebus, with an elevation gain of approximately 200 meters. The route is suitable for families as well. Alternatively, the mountain hut can also be reached by car, bicycle, or horseback.
\nHere you can stop for a traditional lunch featuring canederli, polenta, and homemade desserts.
\nIt is also the perfect starting point for hikes towards Monte Rujoch and Cima Pontara.<\/p>\n

Starting from Hotel Be Place, you can quickly reach Monte Bondone, Garniga Terme, or the Pin\u00e9 Plateau. From there, you can choose your own pace: a walk through the woods, a lakeside stroll, a traditional lunch in a mountain hut, or a visit to a local farm.
